MAXWELL, Calif. — Residents who need to travel between Maxwell, Princeton, Williams and Colusa can use the county’s demand-responsive public transit service. Colusa County Transit Agency’s official schedule includes Maxwell on a Colusa–Williams–Maxwell–Princeton corridor.
What does the timetable show?
The county publishes an approximately 8:30 a.m. Maxwell morning time for travel toward Princeton and an approximately 3:15 p.m. Maxwell afternoon time on the return sequence toward Williams. These are approximate schedule points, not a promise of a bus passing every address at those exact times. The agency’s service generally operates from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
How does a flexible route work?
Colusa County describes its system as demand-responsive with set departure times and deviations within a service corridor. Trips are first-come, first-served and depend on vehicle availability. The county says its vehicles are accessible, with curb-to-curb service for general riders and door-to-door assistance for eligible ADA passengers.
Plan the return trip first
Because a small community has limited service windows, confirm both directions before booking a doctor visit or an important appointment. The schedule also notes countywide restrictions and special Yuba City trips on the first Friday of the month. Ask the operator about current fares, stops and reservations rather than assuming this is a high-frequency city bus.
